"The Pleasure Principle" an erotic hypnosis review by Katie Cook
Imagine lying on your favorite sofa in your favorite room on a warm afternoon, while listening to the sexiest, most melodic male voice you’ve ever heard. You close your eyes as the voice guides you through deep breaths and into a wonderful state of relaxation. He walks you down from the rigid grip of your over-worked conscious mind and into the depths of your fun-loving, open, and sensual subconscious. This was the amazingly fun and somehow simple experience that I indulged in for my review of “The Pleasure Principle.”

This particular story is about a woman who regains “her excitement for sex and increases her desires for all sexual pleasures, including flirting, kissing, foreplay and intercourse.” Through the telling of the story, you become the woman both watching the scene and experiencing it at the same time.
As Daniel, the hypnotist behind the wonderful stories, says, “I implant the same post-hypnotic suggestions in the listener's subconscious mind, increasing her desire for all sexual pleasures and reshaping her self image into that of a woman who lives for the pleasures of sex.”
I love this story because it begins with the discussion of who we are as children. The voice talks about “The Pleasure Principle,” a drive in humans that is as strong a the drives to breathe, eat, and drink. Children instinctively play and have fun, and as we grow up, this pleasure principle grows into the natural desire for physical pleasure. Unfortunately, another thing happens as we grow up: social pressures cause us to repress the pleasure principle so that we can focus on responsibility. Sometimes, the repression is too thorough.
As I listen to the story, Daniel takes me back to my childhood to embrace the simple, sincere fun that young people have. Through an interesting series of transitions, I become a young woman in a college classroom. The class is nothing les than a sensuality class, featuring a gorgeous man who desires me, and who I, in turn, desire.
The gorgeous man with the beautiful body becomes the focus of the story, and I relearn how to flirt and to touch and to play with him.
The experience of listening to the erotic hypnosis leaves me feeling relaxed, tingly, and excited. Daniel’s rich voice explains that I will want to flirt more, to touch more, and that I’ll desire sex more often. He tells me that I will enjoy more flirting, kissing, touching, and fucking. He encourages the natural, sensual side of me to come out, and I love it.

It’s liberating to think that a fun-loving, flirtatious, erotic and sexual woman resides within you, and all you have to do is let your conscious mind take a little break so that your subconscious can remember her.
A special note: my editors, Jordan and Samantha, asked if I could listen to the erotic hypnotic audio recording with my boyfriend. After I listened to it the first time alone, my boyfriend and I did listen to it together, laying on our bed, holding hands. I heard him chuckle when the man in the story was described as having a perfectly flat stomach and being toned, as my boyfriend has, shall we say, a bit of the pot-belly going on.
After we listened to the story, we made love. And after we made love, we talked. He said that he enjoyed the story and imagined he and I when Daniel described the gorgeous man in the classroom touching me. I don’t think that listening to the story was quite as indulgent for my boyfriend as it was for me, but it was nice to share something that felt very personally intimate to me with him.
